Purpose/Goal: The purpose of this program is to provide an overview of opportunities for the use of simulation in healthcare.

Target Audience: Registered Nurses and healthcare professionals interested in the use of simulation in healthcare education.

Overall Program Objectives:

• Discuss key aspects of creating scenarios that can be used with the human patient simulator, with standardized patients, with hybrid simulation and with task trainers
• Discuss how to effectively incorporate simulation into healthcare education and the academic curriculum
• Review important aspects of feedback and debriefing
• Describe how to design and effectively manage simulation centers in a variety of settings
